cfObejective 2014 - Relax, My Website was Not Hacked - Just Promoting cfObjective

cfObjective, Chit Chat

For those of you who might have noticed, a couple of new banners appears on my very PLAIN and DULL looking blog / website. I know hacking is a popular response to such oddities these days, so I wanted to make sure I posted to let you know it was not a hacker, it was me. I have been waiting for these badges to be releases, so I could show a little color, and pride, as I am a speaker at this years cfObjective in Bloomington MN.

cfObjective - Back for Round Two - I got the Email - I am a 2014 Speaker

cfObjective

cfObjective 2013 was my first cfObjective conference, and I absolutely loved it. It was great to get out and meet so many people that I had been following for years via blogs, lately, twitter… and immerse myself in the world of Coldfusion for a few days. It was an action packed week, as I took advantage of the time and location with some great Pre Conference training, ColdBox Bootcamp from Ortus Solutions, and when I left there, I was inspired, and counting down the days to the next trip out to the Radisson Blu, in Bloomington MN.

After leaving cfObjective, I decided that next year, I might submit a couple of topics, and share in the experience even more. When the call for speakers came around, I thought of 3 topics that I would have loved to have seen before starting our recent Server Migration and Restructure, and submitted them to Trello
This weekend, I got the Email, one of my topics was accepted, and I'm speaking at cfObjective 2014, I am super excited.

cfObjective 2014 - Make your Vote Count - NOW!

cfObjective

cfObjective, a great Coldfusion focused conference, with a lot of other great technology topics to complement ColdFusion, has only a couple more days left for you to get your vote in on what topics you would/might want to see at cfObjective 2014. Voting ends 11/11/2013

The Content Advisory Board dedicates a lot of time and energy to make sure cfObjective has the best content possible, by having open call for speakers (now closed) and then public voting... using Trello - the link is here https://trello.com/b/4M6JSoyL/cf-objective-call-for-speakers-2014
The CAB states the voting is an important part of their selection process, but it is not the be all and end all.

cfObjective 2014 Topic 1 - Setting up your multi-engine environment - Apache, Railo and Coldfusion..

cfObjective

After attending cfObjective for the first time in 2013, and really enjoying the whole experience, I decided that for 2014, I would actually submit a couple of topics, and see if they get any interest. Special thanks to Brad Wood, who invited me to speak at ColdBox Developer Week (free online Conference, you can find all the sessions here) , otherwise, I might not have taken that first step, and actually thought I could present at the level needed for this quality conference.

I guess we'll see if my topics get any interest... I submitted 3, here is the first of them.
